Wow! Realizing your chronological age is 70, but still feeling 46 is quite the eye-opener. Thinking the aches and the pains emanate from the five surgeries you’ve had in the past 16 years is not the entire story. I long to be able to run the court, but half-court shoot-arounds will suffice. I still break a sweat and knocking down a 3 for the last shot is glorious. 😊. But now, I must acknowledge the cerebral aspects of myself. The poetry and stories I have penned over the last 50 years must be released. They are the scripted reflections of a 70’s man who waited for a love who never appeared. 😢
