Across the portable lamp collection, different ways of shaping light emerge: the classic lamp that welcomes, the globe that envelops, the lantern that guides or a filtered glow that hints rather than shows.

They all stem from designs conceived decades ago, when going cordless wasn’t even a possibility. Today, they move freely—and reconnect with their original purpose.

The new MNAC Neoseries collection brings the great masterpieces of Medieval Romanesque art and Catalan Modernisme into contemporary interiors, beyond the walls of the museum, creating new contexts for contemplation. We invite you to our Manhattan gallery nightly from 5–8 PM, May 17–21, to sit with ‘Miguel Milá. Essential. A Design Guide for Life’, the self-reflective, meandering book by Spanish design legend Miguel Milá. (A surprisingly humble, unsurprisingly philosophical man.) alongside a curated selection of titles, across two temporary Reading Rooms and under the glow of Milá’s lamps.

Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art technologies capable of capturing not only the image but also the materiality of each work, the new MNAC Neoseries reproduce the volume, texture and colour of the originals with extraordinary fidelity. Each piece is then produced on the most suitable support, either cotton paper or wooden panel. The collection comprises a selection of works representing the museum’s outstanding holdings of Medieval Romanesque and Catalan Modernist art.

Gràcies a l’ús de tecnologies d’última generació, capaces de capturar no només la imatge sinó també la materialitat de l’obra, les noves Neoseries del MNAC reprodueixen amb extraordinària fidelitat el volum, la textura i el color de les originals. Posteriorment, es plasmen sobre el suport més idoni, paper de cotó o taula de fusta. La col·lecció està composta per una selecció d’obres que representen l’importantíssim fons d’art romànic i modernista català que posseeix el museu.
