We were well settled on the couch last night when Rja Murphy messaged me to say "Loooook!!" So we tore out and up to the hill overlooking Rooskagh first and then down the Ballynamona and Ardnahinch where the wind was quite the challenge... and then the clouds rolled in.
But weren't we haunted for the time we had.
Here's a narrowed selection of our offerings! Amazingly, had to turn the saturation DOWN on some of them the as lights were so strong! All are between 2.5 and 8 second long exposures. Focussing was tricky, as you will see, with the wind being too strong and not being able to figure out how to use a new wide lense... in the dark..with numb fingers... but WOW - what a TREAT!! And we learned loads about what different settings we'll use next time (thank you Ivor and Robbie). It felt so emotional to see nature at work like this, wrapping us in colours and swishing way again... hard to describe the experience really. But social media today is giving us all a great flavour of the whole country's experience. Extraordinary stuff.
