Heat modification changes how pine behaves while preserving its natural character.

Using only heat and steam, the process modifies the wood throughout — without added chemicals.

The result is thermally modified pine — retaining its natural grain while offering enhanced performance for a wider range of applications.

During heat modification, resin is released from the wood. But that's only part of what happens.

The process also reduces how much moisture the wood absorbs, improving its dimensional stability.

Heat gives the wood its warm brown tone throughout.

Through it all, the natural character of Finnish pine remains. 🤎
