Books have always been an important part of my life, so seeing one of my handmade papers become the cover of Oxford Poetry , such a beautiful literary journal, has been a real joy - especially because it was chosen for the milestone 100th issue.
However, this is not the only reason I am grateful. One of the things I love most about my work is the people I get to meet along the way, especially when they turn out to be thoughtful, interesting people who are genuinely passionate about what they do.
That was certainly the case with Luke and Vala, who visited Brussels to choose some of my marbled papers for the journal’s cover. I truly enjoyed our conversations, and I would like to thank them, as well as the entire Oxford Poetry team, for their trust.
It has been a pleasure to contribute to this special edition.

A custom marbled paper created for a special binding of Prometheus the Firegiver.

For this project by Hugh Macfarlane I developed a palette inspired by the story itself: the fire stolen from the gods, the deep tones of earth and rock, and a fresh aqua green that brings balance to the composition. This colour was also chosen to echo the aqua leather used for the binding, creating a dialogue between the marbled paper and the cover.

In this case, the aqua green leather became the starting point for a palette inspired by fire, stone and light.

One of my favourite aspects of custom commissions is translating a book, an idea, or a set of materials into colour and pattern.

🇬🇧
Last Saturday, the Horta Museum celebrated World Art Nouveau Day with two workshops dedicated to women and Art Nouveau heritage.

I was honoured to be invited to lead a marbling workshop. Although teaching is not usually part of my activity, I could not refuse the invitation of an institution that has supported my work since the early days of my marbling practice.

The workshop was a great success, and I would like to warmly thank everyone who took part. It was a joy to share this craft with so many enthusiastic participants and to create marbled papers together.

I was particularly impressed by the curiosity and creativity of the children who attended, and equally delighted to see adults rediscover a sense of play and wonder through marbling. Watching each participant develop their own interpretation of the process was one of the highlights of the day.

This experience reminded me how powerful it can be to create together. The success of the workshop belongs above all to those who participated and made it such a special occasion.

My sincere thanks go to the Horta Museum for its invitation and continued support of women artists.

The work of women in both art and craft deserves recognition and visibility. Initiatives such as this one help to highlight its importance, both in our contemporary creative landscape and in the history of art and craftsmanship.

A first prototype for an exciting collaboration with

This marbled paper features the Tiger Eye pattern, a technique that requires a delicate balance between the marbling bath, pigments, additives, and timing. Even small variations can drastically affect the outcome, making each sheet an exercise in precision and observation.

About two years ago, I was contacted by Boris Horemans to provide one of my marbled papers for a binding project - a book by Ernest Claes - featured in De repair Shop.

It was a real pleasure to finally discover yesterday evening the finished book on screen and to see how beautifully the paper was used by Boris, whose restoration and binding work plays an important role throughout the programme.

Always rewarding to see my handmade marbled paper become part of such projects.

A project that led me beyond my usual path.

I created a marbled paper for this beautiful book, which tells the story of an extraordinary journey in a Beetle car from the Congo to Brussels. This project encouraged me to explore a different aesthetic direction in my work. I am very grateful to have been part of this journey.

Thank you and for the collaboration!

🇬🇧This marbled paper was made quite some time ago, at a moment when this limited edition of The Faery Handbag by Kelly Link was still a project in progress.
It is always a pleasure to see one of my marbled papers, once finished, continue its journey elsewhere, far from my creative space.
Today, I am truly happy to finally discover the finished book and to see how these papers have found their place in the final project, beautifully illustrated by
