Rare pair of Art Nouveau silver-plated metal vases by WMF (circa 1900)

A beautiful and rare pair of Art Nouveau silver-plated vases signed WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), circa 1900. Each vase features emblematic Jugendstil motifs: raised tulips, sinuous stems, and stylized foliage. One depicts a young girl listening to a seashell, the other a boy holding a fish—two charming, finely sculpted allegorical figures.

One of the vases has some dents and deformations, and the silver plating is partially worn. However, the pair retains much of its original finish, which is rare for pieces of this period. Very difficult to find as a pair, this duo is particularly sought after by collectors.

An elegant French pewter serving dish by Fer Blanc de Paris, decorated in the Louis XVI style with scrolling ribbons, shell motifs, ornate handles, and a sculpted fruit finial.

Made from 95% pewter, the piece has a soft silvery patina and the gentle signs of age that give vintage French tableware so much character.

Beautiful as a serving piece, table centrepiece, or decorative addition to a French country kitchen or traditional dining room.

Terracotta bust of a young woman by Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, c.1870. Finely detailed with a warm patina and in perfect condition, without base. Carrier-Belleuse was one of 19th-century France’s most celebrated sculptors, admired under Napoleon III and later director of artistic works at the Sèvres Manufacture.
