THE ELEGANT STRIPE - I have a thing for stripes. Give me a striped cushion, a striped throw, a striped wall or even the shadows of a window falling across a floor, and I'm happy.
There is something endlessly chic about stripes. They don't try too hard. They aren't fussy. Yet they instantly bring rhythm, movement, and personality to a space.
What fascinates me is how differently they can be interpreted. In one room they feel tailored and architectural; in another, playful and relaxed. Sometimes they are the star of the show, sometimes they quietly tie everything together.
Looking at these interiors, it's hard not to notice how often designers return to stripes. They are one of those rare motifs that transcend trends. Centuries later, we're still finding new ways to use them.
Perhaps that's the secret of the stripe. It is both timeless and modern, structured yet relaxed, bold yet understated.
Proof that the simplest ideas are often the most enduring.
A few beautiful examples from designers who each interpret stripes in their own way: and .
Are you team stripes or florals?

PARIS IS ALIVE - Here is something magical when Paris lends its monuments to contemporary artists. Not as decoration, but as a dialogue between heritage and creation.
With The Cavern, JR transforms the Pont Neuf into a monumental illusion suspended between reality and imagination. Photography, architecture, landscape, and public space suddenly become one. What I love about JR’s work is how people themselves become part of the installation. His art is never static or one-dimensional, it invites interaction, movement, curiosity, and emotion.
And perhaps that is what makes Paris so inspiring: the city is constantly reinventing itself while remaining deeply connected to its past.
Paris is not frozen in time. Paris is alive.

BLUSH...CONTINUED - Lately, pink has led me somewhere unexpected — not simply toward color, but toward ornament, movement, and decorative fantasy.
It brought me back to the Rocaille period, when interiors became lighter, freer, almost theatrical. Curves replaced symmetry, florals climbed across walls and fabrics, and decoration became an art of delight.
Our La Reine Marie collection draws inspiration from that world. Its embroidered flower, entirely handmade in France by master craftsmen, pays homage to the exuberance of 18th-century French décor while feeling strikingly modern in these delicate blush tones.
And after all… who doesn’t want to sleep like a queen? We all deserve it.

SOMETHING ABOUT PINK - Soft, comforting, almost cocooning. Lately, I’ve found myself wanting to surround my home with shades of blush, rose, and warm dusty tones, spaces that feel intimate, reassuring, and elegant. A little heaven to retreat into.
Then I came across this beautiful interior by the talented sister duo at , and it reminded me that color alone is not what creates emotion. It is the art of mixing motifs.
Flowers with stripes. Small patterns against larger ones. Different rhythms somehow finding harmony together.
It instantly brought me back to my early days in home décor at Manuel Canovas, a true master of color and prints. I was fortunate to learn from a woman who taught me how fabrics speak to one another. I spent hours playing with samples, discovering how a shared tone can connect entirely different motifs, how stripes of different scales can coexist beautifully, how balance transforms complexity into calm.
That, to me, is the secret: balance.
Because when patterns are mixed thoughtfully, the result is never overwhelming — it becomes warm, layered, alive… and deeply harmonious.

SOFT COLORS, SOFT NIGHTS
There is something about fresh Egyptian cotton percale and soft spring light that makes you want to stay in bed just a little longer. Cool, smooth, and incredibly gentle against the skin, it brings that feeling of effortless comfort we all long for at the end of the day.
A palette of quiet hues for dreamy bedrooms and slow mornings. The kind of bedding that feels fresh and irresistible when the windows are open at night.
Every piece is hand made in France by master artisans. Working with these remarkable ateliers and helping preserve and share their unique savoir-faire is at the very heart of what we do.

LIGHT BLUE - Such an understated color, and yet.
Visiting Stephen Sills’ home in Bedford, the entrance already says so much.
Those soft blue tones, almost quiet, paired with an antique table that gently contrasts with the light… it’s a subtle statement. It sets the tone for everything that follows.
I had the chance to visit his home, and what stayed with me is this effortless dialogue between antiques (so many French pieces), light, and texture.
Nothing feels forced, yet everything sits exactly where it should. That rare balance that gives a home its true soul.
His use of color — subtle, layered, almost instinctive.
The kind of interiors you don’t just look at, you feel.
