Three days at the Slow Bellagio FERUS Retreat, perched high above Lake Como, felt like entering a gentler pace of life.
Set among extraordinary natural beauty and welcomed by the fifth-generation family behind , the entire experience carried a rare sense of ease and authenticity. Just looking out across the gardens towards the water has an almost immediate calming effect.
What stayed with me most, however, was the energy and vision behind this place. is leading Belvedere forward into a new era, creating something deeply contemporary while preserving the soul of what has always made it special.
And then there was the cuisine : imaginative, refined, and deeply connected to the landscape surrounding it. Every dish and drink seemed to reflect the character of the lake and mountains, shaped by ingredients sourced from passionate local farmers, producers, and artisans. Fresh herbs and flowers from the kitchen garden added another beautiful layer to the experience.
Also the interiors at capture the same spirit perfectly: a thoughtful balance between timeless elegance and a quiet, forward-looking freshness.
More than anything, I’m leaving with gratitude for the people who made these days so memorable. Thank you and everyone who brought so much warmth and intention to this retreat.
