Last day to discover • An-tropico • 🐆🎋🐆

The installation designed by Gupica for
is a neo-exotic scenario marked by suffused light, touchable materials and abstract marks.
In An-tropico, human intervention reimagines flora and fauna without imitation or mimesis, but by distilling it down to its abstract essence.

At the center of the stage, the “Traccia” carpet . Inspired by the 1970s, abstract hand-drawn marks reinterpret animalier prints, following the fiber’s nap to evoke and simulate animal fur. The lustrous surface enhances movement, recalling the natural flow of a coat. The contemporary aesthetic and discreet graphic presence allow it to dialogue naturally with a variety of interior styles and contexts.

The staging is also the setting for the “Bambù” collection, Gupica’s new lighting design project for the launch of Gupica Edition, the designer’s platform dedicated to limited editions developed in collaboration with leading Italian manufacturers.
Expressing an unexpected, minimalist aesthetic and balancing the genuine imperfection of nature and the precision of industrial design, it’s conceived to suit a wide range of contemporary living contexts.

“Traccia” carpet designed for proposes a new concept of Animalier 🐆
Minimal, abstract graphic marks reinterpret the animalier print, moving beyond hyper-realism.
It’s design as cultural testament and visual memory, evoking the 1970s through an idea of freehand painting that complements the material, following the nap of the fibers to suggest the idea of fur without directly reproducing it.

The lustrous quality of the carpet’s surface lends a dynamic visual effect to the print, suggesting the natural movement of an animal’s coat and heightening the allusion to real fur. Traccia is thus a human interpretation, filtering and translation of nature into a singular mark. The contemporary aesthetic, discreet graphic presence and minimalism let it dialogue naturally with a variety of interior styles and contexts.

“Gea” the new collection of lamps designed by Gupica for

The collection explores the relationship between light and material through design language inspired by geological processes. The collection interprets the stratigraphic principle, transforming it into structure, rhythm and perception of light. Colored glass plates are rhythmically juxtaposed to construct a form that recalls a cross-section of the Earth’s crust. The balance of warm and cool tones evokes variations in minerals and depths, creating a dynamic, luminous composition that changes depending on where it’s viewed from and the intensity of the light. Hand-crafted opaline glass with serrated edges generated via parametric modeling is both a structural material and a light-diffusing element: light from the LED source in the center passes through the plates, illuminating each one with different intensities based on their placement and color, highlighting thicknesses, transparencies, textures and layering. The effect is a shimmering stratification, in which the perception of light is progressively transmuted, revealing the interplay between technology and material. Starting with a base module, a family of lamps was developed, with table, wall and hanging models that maintain the same aesthetic continuity and expressive identity. Each configuration is a cross-section of time, a luminous stratification translated into a design that pays homage to the slow, gradual formation of the material.

This morning, chez with old and new projects : SIPARIO suspension lamp designed in 2024 and ISTANTE, collection of mirrors, now on display in Via Larga 13

The new Istante collection of mirrors designed by Gupica for Fiam Italia is inspired by Polaroid analog photography.
Istante transforms the idea of a captured moment into a glass object: the person looking in the mirror becomes the subject of their own everyday portrait. A reflective rectangle, a pure, minimal form, frames the reflection without dominating it, discreetly defining the space. The three-dimensional, almost sculptural frame enhances the glass with a custom-designed micro-texture that accentuates the tactile density of the material, and the gaze is captivated by its details. Istante is a mirror that invites contemplation, a witness of our time and place, an architecture of the gaze that gathers pieces of our presence and reflects them back as a newly emerging memory. Like a Polaroid photo, the mirror shows us the present, and at the same time hints at a memory of it, subtly interweaving identity with the time and space we inhabit.
The collection includes 4 formats, each conceived to generate specific relationships with the space and the user. The smaller sizes are meant for glance-in-the-mirror everyday use, subtly introducing the concept into domestic life, and can form modular compositions as well. The larger mirrors amplify light and space, taking on an architectural role and dialoguing directly with their observers, as the reflection becomes a personal, or shared, experience
