The Église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis on rue Saint-Antoine in the Marais is a wonderful building. It was built in the middle of the 17th Century on the orders oh Louis XIII and is the first church in Paris to break away from the prevalent Gothic style to the Baroque. It has a wonderful little side entrance down a hidden alley in addition to the main big red doors at the front.

This is Château de Sourches near Le Mans where Bénédicte de Foucaud and her wonderful family have created the “Peony Center of the Universe.” If you love peonies and have not visited the château during peony season you are missing out! It’s too late for this year but you should plan on visiting in May 2026. You can follow them on Instagram and and order on line from their beautiful boutique on their website www.chateaudesourches.com. And plan a visit for next May. This is not a paid collaboration. More like a love letter after many delightful visits to this unique peony heaven 😍
