A big shout out to my wonderful, talented Dad who built this studio for me. It's taken me a while to get it to feel as cosy and welcoming as it has been this week. I'm feeling so privileged to have this wonderful space to work in and to have been able to welcome visitors to this week.

Anyone else love the sound of rain on the roof?
My studio feels so cosy at this time of day when the light is fading into evening.

Last day to visit me tomorrow

I have really loved this week. Been lovely chatting with visitors and meeting some of the other artists taking part. I'm sad I won't manage along to some of the venues that I really have wanted to see. I've loved spending every day in my studio and welcoming other people into the space.

I've finished off 4 paintings this week but still got a crate full of UFOs so perhaps you can pop by tomorrow and challenge me to finish the next one?

Last few days of and it's been so much fun so far.

My studio at venue 5 is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
You will find a range of original artwork and prints, cards, mugs and more. There's new work as well as an opportunity to pick up something from the bargain basket.

There's also a selection of crochet creatures and the popular dragon scale wrist warmers. You might even spot an octopus 🐙

Open studios are a wonderful opportunity to chat and see artists at work, get glimpses of the process as well as the finished pieces.

You can find me here at work over the next few days. I might be painting something new or putting final touches to one of the many Unfinished Objects (UFOs). Or you might find me crocheting robins, hedgehogs or octopi, possibly even a new dragon 🐉

Today is the Autumn Equinox, the halfway point between the longest day of the year and the shortest day. Light and dark are in balance. Time for letting go and for renewal 🍂
Today is also the halfway point in Open Studios Stirlingshire so still plenty of time to visit some of the wonderful artist studios and collectives taking part. The sun is shining and there are some stunning locations to explore 🧡
Also, did I mention that my daughter baked brownies? They are disappearing pretty fast 😋

Wed 22nd - 10am to 5pm
Thurs 23rd - 12 to 8pm

This is a chance to see me at work in my home studio. All the stuff you don't get to see in a gallery. This is where the mess of creativity meets the mess of life. This is home to the unfinished objects, abandoned paintings and bargains - as well as a chance to see some brand new work that hasn't made it to a gallery yet.
