A little update from me. 🤍 Buttonleaf Makes is taking a little holiday!
I'll be taking a break over the next month to rest, recharge and spend some time with my family before returning with fresh inspiration and lots of new ideas.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported my little business this year. I can't wait to share what's next when I'm back.

One year ago today I officially started my little venture, Buttonleaf Makes. 💛

It's been such a rewarding year. I've learned so much, enjoyed creating new pieces, and had the chance to meet so many lovely people and local businesses along the way.

This little yellow flower seemed like the perfect way for me to say thank you to everyone who has supported Buttonleaf Makes over the past year by following my journey, buying one of my creations, sharing a post or stopping for a chat at a market.

A special thank you to my friends and family for all your help, encouragement, and for putting up with my ever-growing plant collection and all the busy days that came with it. I couldn't have done it without you. 💛

Here's to another year of growing, creating and bringing a little more joy with plants.

Bring a little woodland indoors. 🤍

These mini woodland terrariums are easy to care for, happy in low to bright indirect light, and need very little maintenance. Each one is handmade with live moss, a Fittonia cutting and a little Wade Whimsies figure to make it unique.

🌿 Plant Spotlight - Lewisia 🌿

Lewisia is one of my favourite alpines. I love it because it adds a beautiful pop of colour to my garden and thrives in a sunny spot.

Despite its delicate flowers, Lewisia is a hardy, evergreen perennial that stays attractive all year and rewards you with a fresh display of blooms every spring.

🌿 Care tips:

☀️ Light: Full sun to light shade.
💧 Water: Let the soil dry between waterings and avoid wet crowns, especially in winter.
🪨 Soil: Gritty, free-draining soil is essential.
✂️ Maintenance: Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms and keep the plant looking tidy.
🌱 Propagation: Separate the small offsets from mature plants in spring or early autumn.

🌿 Fun facts:

• Masses of star-shaped flowers from late spring into early summer.
• Flowers come in shades of pink, coral, orange, yellow and white.
• Native to rocky mountain slopes in North America.

One of my favourite corners of the garden at the moment. 💚

Over the past few weeks I've been slowly repotting many of my outdoor succulents into terracotta pots. I love the natural look, and watching everything settle in and grow together.
