What a fabulous venue for an art workshop in the Peak District. We had great fun at my mixed media workshop combining collage, watercolour & pen to create beautiful individual artworks (scroll to see).
Perfect for beginners & those more experienced artists wanting to try a new art technique.
It was followed by a delicious lunch in the glass Garden Room - scroll to see the beautiful space.
I’ll be back at stunning Wildhive Callow Hall this Saturday 9th May from 10 am for a Botanical Pen & Watercolour workshop event. In this floral art workshop we plan to head into the hotel’s bloom laden garden for some pen sketching practice. Yesterday was my first Pen Drawing for Well-being workshop for this year, so I thought I’d share some pics of the beautiful artwork created by participants just using the humble biro pen. Many people hadn’t done art since school & I think it’s fair to say everyone did brilliantly & all took a lot away from the workshop.
These workshops are all about the process of pen drawing not the end result - taking away the stress of needing to complete a finished piece.
We talked all things pen drawing, botanicals, wellness & how art can help manage stress, anxiety & boost wellbeing.
A huge thanks to for selecting me for a second year for a Creative Community Commission to run these art for well-being workshops in the Staffordshire Moorlands. OUTSIDE has supported this project which is funded by Arts Council England - so many thanks to them too!

I’m excited to see the results from my fine art collage workshop event at beautiful in the Peak District this Sunday 26th April.

A treat to pop in & restock some of my artwork to the Museum of Making Makers Shop - a lovely place for a potter or for some delicious cake downstairs at the cafe.

Been playing around with collage & having a lot of fun.
If you fancy giving pen, watercolour & collage a go I’m running three workshops this Spring.
You can mix up as much watercolour, collage & pen as you wish to create your own unique botanical artwork. All materials supplied. I’ll be on hand throughout to guide & help you create something beautiful 🌺 🖊️ 🎨

Thank you picturesque Broadway in the Cotswolds & all the lovely participants for a fabulous sold out botanical pen & watercolour workshop on Saturday.
Scroll to see the beautiful range of individual floral illustrations created - by many who hadn’t done art since school.
Plus take a look at the lovely honeyed stone art galleries in Broadway that I had a mooch around after the workshop. Not forgetting my pit stop on the sunny terrace of No 32 for coffee & delicious cinnamon roll (I always like to check out the local cake / pastries offerings 😀).

Thank you Biddulph Grange Garden for inviting me to run a fabulous Botanical Pen & Watercolour workshop yesterday. Blue skies, sunshine & blooming rhodedrons made it even more special.
