She Shed Ceramics I'm a Studio Potter based in Staffordshire. I hand build ceramic nature based and quirky fun items. So the clay you use is very important.

I'm a studio potter hand making pieces of pottery for your home. All pieces are hand crafted from stoneware clay, although the process is long, it is very rewarding and a very calming process. I either hand build or throw my items on a wheel, being at one with the clay is important, getting to know it's intricacies and what it does and doesn't like to do. Each piece is fired twice in one of my kilns. I am lucky enough to have 2, Bertha is my new to me big kiln, we are still getting to know each other and Betsy my very first smaller kiln, she is a real trouper. The items will be glazed in between the two firings, some will be dipped and others will be individually painted with at least 3 coats of glaze, each coat having to dry before applying another. Well, this is what is happening in the studio currently! It's my favourite time of the year! Although the weather outside the last couple of days is not confirming that Autumn is on its way, the leaves aren't falling from the trees and it's definitely not jumper weather yet. I love a good old jumper. Fingers crossed that autumn is good to us and not as the weather people are predicting.

These items will be with me, they will be finished, i promise, Mercia Marina with The Artisan Show on the 26th September. Fingers crossed that the car is fixed by then!

Just a little bit of glazing to complete before The Artisan Show The Staunton Harold Estate 21st to 23rd August.

Sorry I've been quiet on my socials, I've been busily working away in the Studio, as I had a sell out show Fantasy Forest this year, thanks for all your support and wonderful comments, as well as all your fabulous costumes.

I had just 12 miniatures left so I've now got 158 to glaze, my poor hands and arms..... I've also been busy making other things to bring along too, they will also need glazing 🙄 fingers crossed u get them all done and through the kiln in time.
