A beautifully designed bedroom should feel both sophisticated and restorative 🤍

Creating that elevated atmosphere can be achieved with a few carefully selected details.

~ Invest in quality bedding. Luxurious linens, layered textures, and plush pillows instantly create a more polished and inviting space.

~ Incorporate ambient lighting. Soft bedside lamps, warm lighting, and elegant fixtures help establish a calm, hotel-inspired environment.

~ Add statement accents. Oversized mirrors, curated artwork, or a stylish bench at the foot of the bed bring depth and refinement to the room.

~ Introduce natural elements. Fresh greenery, florals, and organic textures add warmth and balance while enhancing the overall aesthetic.

~ Focus on thoughtful finishing touches. Scented candles, decorative trays, soft rugs, and elevated everyday essentials contribute to a space that feels intentionally designed.

True luxury is found in the details, creating a bedroom that feels calm, timeless, and effortlessly elegant 🤍

It’s often the smaller details that create the biggest impact 🤍

Thoughtful design updates can completely transform the look, feel and functionality of a home.

At The Lomond Home, we’ve carefully refined key spaces and introduced elevated finishes to enhance the overall presentation of the property and maximise its appeal ahead of going to market.

~ Updating internal doors and hardware for a more refined, contemporary finish

~ Replacing radiators to elevate the overall feel of each room

~ Repainting walls and woodwork to refresh, brighten and modernise the space

~ Transforming the staircase with a new handrail, spindles and smarter storage solution to suit a family

~ Refreshing the kitchen with a new worktop, painted cabinetry and updated handles

~ Changing the layout in the utility room for better functionality, along with new units and improved storage

~ Adding mirrors to reflect natural light and enhance the sense of space throughout the home

~ Updating furniture where needed, while revamping existing pieces with new hardware and finishes

A few simple yet impactful ways to elevate a home.

To panel or not to panel 🤍

I truly love every style.

Whether it’s traditional, modern shaker or shiplap, full-height drama or subtle moulding - each one brings a completely different feel to a space.

The key is knowing when it enhances a room and when it’s better to let the architecture breathe.

~ Panelling can add warmth, texture, character, and balance
~ It can make a new build feel timeless
~ It can elevate awkward proportions or create a focal point
~ But sometimes simplicity is the statement

Not every room needs it. Not every wall should have it. And that’s what makes good design feel intentional.

The best interiors are never about following trends, they’re about creating a space that feels right for the home and the people living in it 🤍

This is the part of every project I love most.

The moment the styling, artwork, and personal pieces come together and a house starts to feel like someone’s home. It’s always the small details and collected layers that bring warmth, personality, and life into a space 🤍

From concept sketches to final installation. The kitchen at The Garden House project is really starting to come together 🤎

Seeing the journey from early concept design ideas through to the bespoke joinery installation has been incredibly rewarding. Every detail carefully considered to create a space that feels both timeless and functional.

More finishing touches to come, but we couldn’t wait to share this stage of the process 🤎

A small update on The Richmond Home project.

From the moment I walked through the front door I could see the potential with this stunning period property. Following an extensive design process including concepts, designs and spatial planning, it’s amazing to see how it’s coming together.

There’s still more to do including new shutters and introducing various artwork to the walls but I think you’ll agree it’s already looking beautiful 🤍
