The start of the next table…again a labour of love. I couldn’t find a base I liked for this one, so I’ve got a wooden tray and fixed metal hairpin legs to it. Then the same as the pansies the poppy is super super fragile, cleaning the remaining silica off the petals is painstaking as they just rip. Again, a coat of spray varnish on each side to limit the petals burning and becoming see through when the resin touches them. These tables take hours to make, but I think they are worth it in the end!!

Pansy coasters started today. These are a labour of love…when you press the pansies they become so super thin, they’ve got to be coated on each side with a spray varnish to stop them just going see through when the resin hits them. This takes ages as the varnish can make them stick to the surface…not all the pansies made it through this process!!
