Carrie's Crafts and Creations Things I dream up and make at home I love crafting and hope you enjoy my work.

I have always been a crafter but I started making all sorts of crafty bits and bobs to sell when I had my daughter in December 2010. I enjoy making jewellery, fabric goods, cards and selling supplies, with the aim of bringing something different and fun to the craft arena! I enjoy making personalised pieces and gifts aimed at capturing personalities, and have recently started making personalised quilts and cushions made to order in any theme.

✨Had an absolutely wonderful evening learning how to create custom vintage plates with the fabulous Jen Roffe at Meet me at Mabel’s, the most beautiful workshop space.

When we walked in, I would never have thought we would be writing lettering straight onto vintage plates in 2 hours, but we did!

The funny thing is, I’m good at drawing and I have nice curly handwriting but I didn’t feel like this was either drawing or writing, but something in between and completely different. I felt like I was starting from scratch!

Jen guided us through paper and pencil template practice before we chose our design or created our own, and before you knew what happened the pens were on the ceramic. Crazy progress in 2 hours!

I’ve always wanted to learn calligraphy and this was a very good start. ✨

I love creating something unique for the Christmas tree festival and this year has been my favourite 🐭🎄

I’ve had a handful of enquiries about buying these little ones for Christmas but factoring in the materials and the time they take to make, you could buy a huge Jelly cat! (If you know you know!)

I wish selling crochet crafts was something that provides a fair price for customers and income for creators but I’m afraid it’s not. So this will be a hobby, for gifting, and for the church every year.

Any ideas for the 2026 tree? 🎄
