I have worked very hard all my life for little pay while making my employers very wealthy. I always wanted to be my own boss and achieved this aim four years ago when I started my carpet and upholstery cleaning business. I wanted to do it properly and not be a "Cowboy" so I booked myself on an extensive training course where I learnt how to do it well and, most importantly, safely. The initial out

It is not straight forward to publish a price list as no two jobs are the same. But, as a guide, my prices are as follow...

It is not straight forward to publish a price list as no two jobs are the same. But, as a guide, my prices are as follows.

One lounge carpet
Two bedroooms
One stairs and landing
Total £120

With sofas I charge £25 per seat.

So a 3 seater sofa would be £75

I have a minimum charge of £50. This is because, even for small jobs, I have to load and unload my equipment and clean it afterwards.

It should be noted that carpet and upholstery cleaning is not carpet and upholstery repair.
I don't like to mislead anyone so, on inspection, if I don't think I can clean a carpet to a satisfactory standard I will tell you.

I have had a varied but very good week carpet and upholstery cleaning.
Two days at Sharnbrook Mill hotel cleaning both carpets and a lot of chairs. Some of the chairs were in the bar area but most were in the Marquee as they gear up for the summer wedding receptions.
Thursday found me at a care home in Bedford. This was for one privately owned flat but the manager has booked me in to clean the lounge area next week. I also got two requests for my card from other private owners.
In the afternoon I did an emergency clean of a carpet in Ravensden after a child had been poorly.
On Friday I was back in Bedford cleaning a sofa, chair and lounge carpet.
At the moment I have availability next week on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

One of the sadder jobs I am often called upon to do is to clean carpets or upholstery after an accident by an elderly person who suffers from incontinence.
A relative, who is often the primary carer, phones me and warns me what the job entails. They are often apologetic about it but I am happy to help. Sadly it is just a fact of life.
