I was absolutely in need of some 💕 this week after Bella generously left me a gift this morning, the feathered kind 🤦🏻‍♀️. I love her but she absolutely doesn’t get the Sunday vibe I was going for!

So here’s a bird I’d much rather find on a Sunday morning, a beautiful diamond art flamingo! 🦩
I really got into diamond art last year, it’s something that requires little brain power (always ideal after a week at work) but that I find very mindful. There’s something about the monotony of one diamond after another to create something pretty that really chills my brain.

How has your Sunday been? Do I have any other diamond art fans out there?

☀️ Wishing away another dreary grey day with more sunshiney fabrics.

These beauties have arrived today and I’m already thinking about some cheery happy bunting, perfect for summer bbqs and hopefully for wishing in the sunshine!

🍋☀️🍋 And here we are! The first of a new sunshiney headband selection to hit the shop!

I am absolutely loving the lemon print this summer, I don’t know what it is that makes it feel so fresh and inviting! And I am definitely going to bring out some more summer fruits designs so keep an eye out!

🍋 🍓 Ok, so maybe I’ve gone a bit premature with the summer fabrics when the weather says otherwise. But I really love these fruity jersey fabrics, they give me all the summer vibes!

These fabrics are destined for some headbands and scrunchies! Perfect for keeping your hair off your face on those hot summer days (when they return).

☀️ With half term upon us we’re fast heading towards the end of the school year and that means saying a big thank you to the teachers!

Our hand sewn tote bags make the perfect affordable thank you gift for a teacher at this time of year and I’ve got more coming into stock very soon!

It’s a blocking kind of day! This new completed blanket is being blocked ready to be listed in the shop.

Do you know what blocking is? I never used to block any of my knits but once I learnt of the benefits of it I have to do it, it really finishes off a product perfectly, and this weather is perfect for it!

Blocking is the final part of the process in knitting where you dampen or wash your product and pin it out to shape. This helps it keep its intended shape and size. I like to spray my knitting with a mix of water and fabric softener and then leave it to fully dry out.

I am super late to the party this 💕 and this weeks self care is all about indulging myself courtesy of

The last couple of weeks at the day job have been so full on and I haven’t been very present over at Crafty Owl HQ (mentally or physically!) So this weekend was all about re-investing in me and nourishing my soul. I even had my first ever reiki session on Saturday!

The chocolate might not be the most healthy nourishment but it is sometimes what’s needed to do the trick and this weekend it was ideal!
