I love my work table.
It’s 122cm deep by 180cm wide.
It has lots of storage space underneath for boxes of fabrics.
It has foldable legs and clips on the wall so it can be folded flat against the wall if needed - it initially had a small sofa bed under it but that didn’t stay there for long as fabric boxes soon took over.
It’s strong and sturdy.
It’s kitchen worktop height which means I don’t have to bend over - particularly good for my back nowadays.
It’s an MDF top which has been well used, cut on, spilt on, drawn on and even stood on.
I can fit loads of fabric on it when I’m having a sort out.
It was built especially for me by a very good friend and I am extremely grateful.

For everyone who was wondering what I was up to in my last post… here it is! 💙♻️
This little bag started life as an old pair of jeans and has now been given a whole new purpose.
🩵 Pretty cotton lining 👖 Lots of useful pockets (because who doesn’t love pockets?!) 👜 A lovely handle made from fabulous webbing from The Cheap Shop, Tiptree

With no craft events in the diary for a little while, I’ve been making the most of the quieter time by getting creative in my sewing room. ✂️🧵
I’m experimenting with some brand-new appliquéd purse designs, trying out fresh ideas, fabrics and colour combinations. It’s always exciting to see where a new design takes me!
I can’t wait to share them with you when they’re ready. Until then… watch this space! 😊💕

On a little trip to Kent a couple of weeks ago I picked up these fabulous curtains in a charity shop. I love them ❤️. I haven’t completely decided what to do with them yet but I’ll keep you posted.
