We had our banner parade on the 18th October in Woodrow, Redditch and lots of people came to celebrate. It was amazing to see the community coming together!
Communities uniting are very important in these times on our planet. Im grateful to be part of it! ππβ₯οΈ

It's been one of the biggest community project I've ever been involved and my second one with this year >>>The Love Woodrow Banner Parade that just happened last weekend! In June I responded to the artist-call-out and proposed a variety of arts & crafts forms to introduce to numerous community groups and 3 local schools in Redditch. We made banners out of used plastic grocery bags and wool, we explored , & .
For six weeks in September & October many busy hands in Redditch have created over 16 banners to send their positive messages out to the world and especially to their Woodrow community. These pics are about the 'making of 'stage, (follow up next post for the outcome /the Parade!)
It has been very heartwarming to co-create with so many creative children and adults.π€π₯°
Massive thanks to team for all of their support π>>> Alice, Jen, Carlie, Sue π
Further thanks to all schools and community groups who helped to organise the sessions and participated in this project! the knitter-natter group, the library craft group, the Eastern European Group,
Thank you to everybody who came to the parade! π₯³β¨οΈ
