I'm Jaimie, an abstract artist, who finds joy in creating captivating abstract oil paintings. My artistic journey began when I made the life-changing decision to leave my professional corporate career. Searching for artwork to enliven my home with personality and vibrant energy, I stumbled upon a local art class that sparked a deep passion for painting.
As I delved further into the world of art,
I loved the the creative expression possible when applying paint to canvas an my favourite medium was oil paints, I also felt an instant connection with the palette knife, as it helped me to create mesmerising depth, texture, and intricate marks that allowed me lose myself within the artwork. My art is a reflection of my style and individuality, rich in texture and adorned with bold, vibrant colours. Each piece begins with an idea around colours and composition, the painting evolves organically as I immerse myself in the process. I take inspiration from the vivid colours in nature, emotions evoked by music, and the interplay of light and shadow observed in everyday life.
