A 1990s Dodge Ram, reborn as a camper 🚐 Thanks to David for sharing his build — from a £50 steel frame cut down to fit, to a bespoke mattress made to measure. He and Nicky wanted firm but comfortable, and reckon they nailed it.

A 1990s Dodge Ram, reborn as a camper 🚐 Huge thanks to David for sharing his conversion with us.
He picked up a steel tube bed frame for around £50 and cut it down to fit — which turned into a proper job of welding, reinforcing, redrilling and repainting once the cuts landed right over the slat cutouts and a leg fouled the heater. The result: a slim frame giving maximum height, loads of storage underneath, and a bespoke mattress made to fit. He and Nicky wanted firm but comfortable — and he reckons they nailed it.
