We were recently asked to repair a floor that had been installed by a builder. The floor had been installed as part of a renovation and conversion but clearly wasn't their area of expertise.

There were too many faults to list here and too many to remedy easily.

The upshot was a complete supply and re-install.

This time, using a DPM, a ply base, better quality products, correct preparation and installation, the correct fixings and adhesives, the correct orientation and our usual attention to detail.

We also added a few extra features, like a mat-well to protect the floor at the garden door and door bars to finish the internal doors neatly.

We even rebuilt some of the kitchen cabinets to rectify the damage caused by the poor floor fitting.

Over all - the client was much happier without the previous squeaks and creaks.

And here is their review.
