App couple of last minute sticks that I made last night ready for today. I'd already made the ball handles. Thank you Oak Fair. We had a good weekend. Was also lovely to see Odies Oil UK - 100% natural wood finish they're always so kind.

I did it!! 🥳. For ages I've wanted a stick stand so I have somewhere neat and tidy to store them. Rather than just behind the fridge 😆. Also so I can display them when I'm at craft fairs and they aren't constantly falling over. It's not perfect but I'm really happy with this.

Finished with Odies Oil UK - 100% natural wood finish mr Cornwall's super duper light oil and the 'up in smoke' pigment. Complements the oak very nicely 😍.

Busy busy. A burr yew handle 😍, a zrano handle with a bottom ring. Notice how the grain matches through 😉, a love lovely cane handle made from what I'm pretty sure is Brazilian mahogany that I've had in a drawer for years, probably around 80 years old!!!! Stick will e finished today and finally the start of an oak handle that came from an oak tree from my mum and dad's garden (I saved it from the burner 🥲) a sentimental piece.

I can't begin to tell you how much I love what I do! 😍.

This is a bit of a re make. The original stick I made had breakout on the stem of the handle and I never liked it so I bit the bullet and re made it. Sadly I couldn't save the original handle but I'm happy with the new one. I'm naming it the redemption stick. 😍

A few weeks ago we can some work experience youngsters in working at Tekne. I worked closely with them to produce these lovely chess boards and pieces. Hopefully I've instilled some inspiration in them to carry on and to go on learning in the trade of joinery and shop fitting. It was my absolute pleasure although hard work 😌.
