The consultation continues, special thanks to Delyth who relentlessly represents our interests

Following the consultation on the new approach to the fire safety of domestic upholstered furniture launched by the previous Government in August 2023, the new Government has now issued two documents.

Over the coming months, the Government will further engage with stakeholders on the key themes within the policy paper before setting out final policy positions and clear timelines for implementing new regulations. As upholsterers we are a stakeholder.

Although our 5,793 signatures were treated in the summary as just one response, our points have nevertheless been recorded and are now open for discussion.

This MCM Cintique really needed some TLC. The fabric was so good and in decent condition so we went for a . The foam was dust and has been replaced with my trusty . so much safer! Slide for before pics.

Well this one was something different!

Jennie at Bobble Design was commissioned to knit this iconic Malibu Artwork for Olympic diving star Tom Daley for his birthday as part of the Malibu drink responsibly campaign 🥇🏊‍♀️🍸.

She needed someone to upholster it into place on a huge wooden medallion and asked me to help. How could I say no...it's my guilty pleasure drink for starters and I love a challenge!
