We’re back!!! 👋
After a lovely summer, we’re kicking off with a pretty big mile stone….
KITCHEN NUMBER 50!🎉
Our 50th kitchen out in the wild - and honestly couldn’t have asked for a more special kitchen to mark it with
This one is a proper full-circle moment.
This is Dale and Bex’s kitchen. I first met Dale when he was my workshop manager in a job that was completely new to me and my first step into the work of joinery.
We only worked together for a relatively short time, but Dale taught me an enormous amount. He gave me some really important foundational skills, became a very good friend, and probably played a much bigger part in what came next than he realised at the time.
After I was made redundant from that design role, I somehow decided it was a good idea- or perhaps a completely crazy idea - to start my own business. There was a lot of post-pandemic panic, learning on the go and figuring things out as I went along.
With Dales encouragement and his amazing brain, we built the first Jetsam Made prototypes together. The design we came up with became the foundation for the cabinets I still design and make today.
And since then, Dale has always been there- with endless enthusiasm, encouragement, advice, usually, with a pint while I offload all the woes that come with running a small business.
So fast forward five years, and Dale and his amazing wife Bex have downsized and called me up to design and build their new kitchen.
It was such a joy to work together again. The design process was fun, remembering that Dale thinks of every little mm, the installation was an absolute dream, and seeing something we started all those years ago evolve into a kitchen feels pretty special.
I’m forever greatful for Dale and Bex for their friendship and support over the years. Having people who believe in you, encourage you and are there through all the ups and downs means the world when you’re running a small business.
So, kitchen number 50
It feels like the perfect one ❤️
