First post of the New Year. I have been a bit MIA but loads of things have been going on.

Over Christmas I have finally finished two projects.

The first project is the by . This one has taken me an age to finish it just kept being put back on the WIP pile as had other projects to complete. I'm rather pleased with it and it looks fab on.

The second project is the by . I was waiting on yarn to arrive so I could finish the collar and it thankfully arrived before Christmas. I have loved crocheting this project and the yarn is lovely to work with. I have to give credit to for the choice of yarn as I saw her version of the sweater on her Instagram and just fell in love with it.

Thank you ladies for such fab patterns.

Yarn:

Vest - Stylecraft Special DK in Mushroom

Sweater - Lion Brand Mandala Ombre in Felicity

I can finally post what I have been working on now it has been gifted.

This gorgeous baby blanket in Emu Batik, in Roll. The pattern is the Queen Charlotte Blanket from The Bridgerton Collection by one of my favourite designers Kerry Jayne Designs .

I also made a hat which is also another of The Beginners Crochet Hat. It's my go to baby hat pattern.

Another make that has been gifted.

I couldn't resist making this fabulous jellyfish for a lovely little person as she was to be a big sister.

It's Granny Square Day 2025. Here are a couple of squares from a project I started two years ago, the poncho that I am trying to finish. πŸ™ˆ

I did set myself a challenge this year to finish all my WIPs and this project was one of them. Unfortunately I keep getting distracted with other yarn projects so I'm not sure I will but we will see 😁

Just finished two cover up tops for Jem and myself. Hope to get some pics of Jem and myself wearing them soon. For some reason tho Jem's top is bigger, even tho less starting stitches πŸ€” never mind I can wear both 🀣.

These are the first garments I've made (apart from baby cardigans) and finished and hopefully going to make more.

Pattern: Boho Top by but I used DK and a 4mm hook as wanted a tighter look. Next one will be as per the pattern.

The Old Bakehouse Courtyard is looking GORGEOUS thanks to some very talented local ladies 🩷

Karen from marina creative crafts has created these beautiful scenes around our railings, & Portishead Knits & The Poacher Knitting Group did the Yarn Bombing on the bollards.

Thanks so much ladies - you're amazing! 🩷❀🩷

I have been practicing making knitted wire flowers and the lovely Claire at EBB & FLO Gift Boutique asked if I was able to help with more yarn bombing. I came up with three scenes for the railings with Jemma coming up with the idea of the third being a night time theme.

I've had some lovely comments from visitors to the courtyard today whilst I was installing the scenes.

A big thank you to Claire for the opportunity to do this type of project for the community it has been so worth it and I hope anyone that sees it brings you joy. I am biased my favourites are the dragonflies.
