Day 11 of the challenge with the prompt, "Questions"
I've asked myself many times whether I'm on the "right" career path. So many of my hobbies have been short lived side hustles at one point or another, but working with textiles has always been a constant.

So I suppose I'll open this up to you, is there anything you'd like to know about me as a designer, about the things I create, services I provide, or the products I use in my work? Feel free to drop a question in the comments. Thanks, loves! X

Late to the party.
Day 10 Line/Grid from the challenge
See how I do my stitches? Very deliberate, very mindful!

Some would say I'm tediously precise it comes to right angles, and straight grain. My work is sometimes more fluid and organic, but I find real focus and satisfaction in working in a grid, especially over larger areas for impact. Now, where to get me some of those flip down magnifier glasses......

Hi, thank you and sorry!

It passed me by that I had reached 500 Instagram followers a while back, and that's a big deal for me. I'm glad you stuck around. I'm really greatful for your support, your wisdom, humour, creativity and your enthusiasm for the things you love, as well as for my work. Thank you, it really means a lot.

So, I've had a break. Not on purpose, I've just had a lot of very real life to do. Taking care of my family is my top priority, and for a while, trying to figure out or keep up with whatever I though I was "supposed" to be sharing on here was too much. Stitching has traditionally been a slow craft, so I've decided to take the pressure off. I'll be posting with new happenings and creations, just without the stress. After all, this is a place to share things that make me happy. So for now here's my silly mug with some of my happiest things, and yes, that's the new pattern on the shelf.

I'll speak to you again soon

Did anyone have a dream pet as a kid, that they were never allowed?
My friends and cousins had them, and it made me very jealous.

The Fox.
Being outdoors is an integral part of my life. I love walking, especially in the woods, and the fox is an animal I've always admired, and hope to see on my explorations. It really is a beautiful thing to see this creature in the wild, and reminds me of the heartstopping moments on evening family walks when I was little, we'd come across one, suddenly stop, and stare at eachother for a second. It's still magic now.

The Cormorant.
My heart's home is the seaside, and whenever I see this bird, I think of all the special holiday I enjoyed as a little girl, summers I worked and surfed during uni, and trips we take as a family now.

The flamingo.......because trips to the zoo were a real treat. Days out to London as a kid were always really exciting, and my favourite part was a visit to the zoo. As a four year old, I was amazed at how a bird could be THAT pink!
