The scarf is off the loom and on its way as a birthday present ✨💫✨. This ticked all my colour and tactile boxes, watching the waves of shades rise and fall and matching in all the locks.

Much satisfaction gained from a full process of dyeing, spinning and weaving 😌. Also doubly nice when you know the recipient, so you can add specific thoughts and wishes for that extra special magic ✨🌟✨.

A change is coming with the turning of the season ✨🍁✨. Time to lay down the much loved mantle of Crafty Cat which I have worn for 12 years. Much has changed during that time, the world, my life and my business.

Time to embrace a new chapter and new ideas, everything moves forward, grows and changes. Still me, still the same gentle walk through a real life but with a new freedom to explore new directions and see what’s over the hill.

The name Crafty Cat will continue on Etsy only and the Fibre Faery will become woolly and wise on Folksy. Bear with me as I slowly transition and the new website is born, one that is a little more than just shopping ✨💫✨.

I hope you will all still walk with me, as your company is much treasured and adjust to the new name. It came to me in a moment of awen as did Crafty Cat and felt so right.

Grab your cake and boots ✨🥾✨and let’s all go on this new adventure together ✨🌿✨🌟✨🍂✨🐦‍⬛✨. I’ll let you know when the website is live….. hopefully this week but I just wanted to give you a heads on the name change 😽.

Very excited to introduce my newest British blend……Folklore ✨💫✨dyed as Brambleberries ✨🍇🫐🍎✨.

A super soft blending of oatmeal BFL, Gotland, fawn Shetland and grey Teeswater for staple and silky shine. Skillfully blended by Tom & Ellie Tom@wingham ✨🐏✨and I can confirm, it spins like butter 😌.

Available on Folksy with all the other fluffy stuff ✨💫✨.

Took my new schrooms ✨🍄✨ on a nature faffography shoot, like you do. Explained to several other dog walkers why I was bum in air to get the right shot 😆 and had unexpected canine kisses as a reward for damp knees 😚.

What superb September sunshine over the weekend 😌 and how nice to have that warmth back. Plenty of pottering in the garden and downtime too, with a toadstool ✨🍄✨on my hook. Just as well I needed to sit at the table as the nook was occupied!

The Yarnsmiths merino heathers blanket is underway. My hand feels up to some crochet at last 🙌.

Totally scared by only having 50g of each shade, I’ve gone for a three round mini square.
Making it up as I go along in a very satisfying autumnal colour wash ✨🧶✨🍁✨🌿✨🍂✨
