Before & After: Complete room restoration - Walls, ceilings and all the woodwork!

Here’s a project I recently completed, and it involved a lot of care and precision:

🔧 What I did:

- Replaced a section of wallpaper on the ceiling and repainted it completely.

- Repainted the walls, wooden skirting, door frame, and the entire door—on both sides.

- The wall was badly damaged, and the other side was water-stained, which required extensive repair work.

- Sanded and filled all the woodwork to ensure everything was smooth and ready for a fresh coat.

Every detail was handled by me to bring this space back to its best. If your home needs similar work, get in touch!

Bringing This Gate Back to Life! 🛠️

Just finished restoring this metal gate, and I’m really pleased with the result! Here’s a breakdown of what went into the job:

1. Removed the old paint: I stripped away all the flaking and rusted paint using a wire brush to get a clean surface for the new coat.

2. Sanded and filled: Sanded down the entire gate to smooth it out and used metal filler to patch up a few cracks, making sure the surface was solid.

3. Installed a guardian mouse: Fun little addition requested by the client! I drilled a small hole to fit a cute metal “guardian mouse” to watch over the gate. 🐭

4. Repaired the latch: The latch wasn’t secure, so I drilled a new hole and bolted in a longer, sturdier stand to hold it in place.

5. Painted with Hammerite: Applied 2 coats of Hammerite anti-rust paint to protect the gate from the elements and give it a fresh, sleek finish.

6. Added rat-proof mesh: For extra protection, I installed a durable black mesh at the bottom to keep out rodents and other unwanted guests.

🛠️ Recent Project - Bathroom Repaint! 🎨

I recently completed this small bathroom revamp, and the client was super pleased with the outcome.

The job included:

✅ Repairing the wall around the vent for a smooth finish.

✅ Full two coats of paint for the whole space.

✅ Painting the skirting boards and side window with mould-resistant paint after clearing out the existing mould.

✅ A straightforward job with great results, and the client was really pleased with the outcome.

Alright people!

Just wrapped up a cracking job flexing my cleaning and redecorating skills. 😁

The kitchen’s looking fresh after a good scrub on the walls and ceiling with sugar soap, filled all the gaps, sanded down the door and skirting, and finished it off with durable wood and kitchen/bathroom paint. All sorted now, and the landlord couldn't be happier!

Just finished this incredible project! From the stunning wooden windows to this solid front door, I've had to fully restore and repaint them to historical accuracy! 🏠🔨

Crafted an internal DIY double glazing wooden halo for energy efficiency out Iroko wood, this housed a double glazed, round glass pane.

Another stunning door transformation complete! 🖤🚪

Just wrapped up restoring this black door, and what a satisfying job it was! After plenty of stripping and sanding, I got it looking as smooth as possible. 💪 To ensure it lasts, I gave it the full weather protection treatment: two coats of Zinsser 123 all-weather primer followed by three coats of Ronseal Black high gloss weathershield paint. This door is now ready to take on even the harshest weather!

🚪 Bringing Life Back to this Front Door! 🚪

Kicking off a series of posts showcasing the transformation of various projects, starting with this front door! From sanding to priming, and finishing with Weathersfield paint, I make sure every surface—inside or outside—is built to last. 💪

first step is stripping off all the old paint that is flaking off and sanded it down for a smooth finish to avoid any raised paint edges, Up next: two coats of primer followed by two layers of weather shield paint to ensure durability against the elements. 🌧️

This is just the beginning, there's two more doors that need revitalising – stay tuned to see the final results!
