That’s one of the things we love about having a real flower shop.
Our shop-floor bouquets are not mass-produced.
We make them ourselves.
We play with colour.
We mix flowers you might not expect together.
We follow the flowers that arrive looking particularly fabulous that day.
And sometimes…
We just make something because we think “someone is going to love this.” ❤️

🌻 Sometimes a flower tells the whole story.
When the family rang to us to create a funeral tribute for a very special son-in-law, they didn’t just want something beautiful.
They wanted something that felt like him.
He loved growing sunflowers. 🌻 So the choice was almost made for us.
We created this beautiful sunflower posy pad, filling it with bright, cheerful blooms that reflected something he enjoyed and cared about in life.
There is something incredibly special about funeral flowers when they tell a story. A favourite flower, a hobby, a colour, a garden, a passion… these little details can transform flowers into a very personal goodbye.
And perhaps that is what we love most about creating funeral tributes at Croydon Blooms.
We don't just make arrangements.
We listen to the stories.

Know Your Flowers Tuesday 🌸
After a very busy few days of funerals, we still managed to squeeze in some beautiful gift bouquets because apparently florists don’t believe in having just one job! 😂
Retail florist life is wonderfully chaotic. One minute we’re creating funeral flowers, the next we’re answering wedding enquiries, then it’s birthday bouquets, anniversary flowers and last-minute gifts.
And somewhere in between all of that…
🌿 Conditioning flowers
🪣 Cleaning buckets
🗑️ Emptying bins
🪴 Looking after the shop floor
📞 Answering phone calls
📝 Organising orders
💌 Writing those all-important card messages
…and making sure there are always plenty of gorgeous ready-to-go bouquets and bespoke plant gifts waiting for you when you pop in.
It’s basically flowers, flowers, flowers… with a little admin chaos sprinkled on top! 🌸😂

When the bride says “modern” 🌙🌹
We had the most gorgeous David Austin Roses to work with for this wedding, but our bride didn’t want the usual round, traditional bridal bouquet.
She wanted the roses to feel a little more fashion-forward.
So we took those beautiful, fluffy blooms and gave the bouquet a soft moon-shaped silhouette. It keeps the romance of the roses, but adds movement and a slightly unexpected shape.
And because we’re florists and apparently can’t leave a good flower idea alone 😂, we carried the same look through into a matching vase arrangement for the reception.
One flower story, two designs, beautifully connected. 🤍
