Hello everyone 👋

We’ve been busy here at Country Wood Floors working on some fantastic flooring projects recently, so we thought we’d share a few of them with you!

🪵 A wood floor restoration for a customer in Banbury, including replacing rotten boards with reclaimed timber before sanding and finishing the floor back to life.

🏡 Sourcing and fitting a bespoke wood floor and finish for an insurance client in Kensington.

✨ Sanding and refinishing a damaged wood floor to restore its natural beauty.

🔨 Supply and installation of luxury LVT flooring.

🧶 And the firm favourite, Tudor Co-Ordinates 100% wool carpet from Victoria Carpets, supplied and fitted for a lovely returning local customer.

When the subfloor looks more like the surface of the moon after an extensive rip out… that’s when we get called in to put things right 🌙🔨

To tackle the severely uneven surface, we first sprayed on F. Ball P131 primer in preparation for a moisture tolerant smoothing compound.

After allowing a full week for drying, we applied a liquid DPM, followed by a grit primer, before finishing the subfloor with F. Ball 1200 smoothing compound for a perfectly smooth finish.

The final installation featured Karndean Knight Tile planks with feature strips to recreate a classic ship decking design 🚢

A complete like-for-like restoration for this insurance customer — from disaster zone to showroom finish 👌

What a day! ✨

So great to step away from the usual routine and spend the day learning all things sanding with the fabulous , who kindly offered this free course for women in the flooring industry as part of their International Women’s Day celebrations 🌍

It was a brilliant opportunity to meet the team at KHR, a fantastic family-run business celebrating their 45th year, as well as the lovely Natalie from , while building technical knowledge, getting hands-on with the machines, and continuing to grow the skills that help us deliver the best possible service and advice to our customers 👏

We installed J2 Flooring LVT plank in Grey Driftwood, laid on a striking 45° angle to create a more dynamic and spacious feel throughout the room.

The floor was installed over underfloor heating, with the subfloor prepared using a 10mm water-based fibre-reinforced screed recommended by the underfloor heating manufacturer to ensure the perfect foundation for both performance and finish.
