This weekend have been working on something a little different, designing and providing the set decor for the in Oxford.

Being held we have loved transforming the stage with palms, ferns and orchids to enhance this years theme

Creating a calm and inspiring place to work whilst at home is so important right now! 🙌
Not only is a dedicated working zone excellent for our focus, it also enables those around us to acknowledge that we are in work mode. This is so incredibly important not only for our productivity but also our mental well-being, as once we leave this zone, it is easier to separate our mind from work tasks and look to the other areas of our life!

Not everyone has a dedicated office/study so this beautiful work area was created within a family room, balancing business & life perfectly for this working mum.

This reclaimed oak fire surround was just the style needed for a 20s house renovation. The dark brown varnish was stripped off and then it was sanded to bring back the beautiful natural wood colour!
Wall painted with and vintage/new styling items added

Although nobody has been able to attend in person this year, we have really enjoyed attending their virtual event. With the additional benefits of being able to login to watch speakers and conferences that we may otherwise have missed over the three day event, we have come away feeling inspired and with a mind full of creative ideas.

2020 has thrown a lot at the design and hospitality industry, but I found one of the most inspiring speakers at this years event was
I feel a renewed energy and positivity after watching him and totally inspired by the designs that his studio have completed, so I wanted to share a few snapshots from his online conference.

His philosophy of invisible design and his thoughts on endless possibility for design in times of chaos were truly inspiring 🙌👏

I am happy to be embracing the new season and working on some gorgeous Autumn inspired mood boards today! 🍁🧡🍂🎃

These are for a private members club who have a number of interconnecting rooms. They want a warm and cosy feel but want to balance the existing dark wood features with bright and airy tones.

We have therefore kept the proposed wall coverings quite light, added beautiful textures in the upholstery with woven fabrics and proposed finishes in cork and natural stone.

I am pulling in the warmth with burnt orange velvet and tan leather which will sit beautifully against the dark wood. I am then suggesting a splash of ochre paint colour around the bar area to compliment but separate from this from the other zones!

This client tasked us with the brief of creating a contemporary cosy space with hints of mid century modern. We think we nailed it! What do you think?

They needed a space that was immediately off their kitchen/dining space where they could read, the kids could watch TV and the dog could relax but that would also be a grown up space when entertaining.

We loved designing this space for a wonderful client and love it even more now it’s all completed. The elements of lighting that we included at the construction design stages have really paid off and show what can be achieved when interior designers are brought onto a project early enough to work alongside the construction team. It really ensures the bespoke joinery and curtains are highlighted.
Great team work created this fantastic space for our client!! 🙌
