We've gone for a slightly different setup today thanks to the ever-changing weather forecast – one minute sunshine, the next we're not so sure! Typical British weather! 🌦️

You'll find us alongside the wonderful Lily Star Zorric and Divine Gems, so come and say hello, have a browse, and support some fantastic local independent businesses.

Last week was a bit of a washout thanks to the weather, and unfortunately we only managed 1 out of our 3 planned markets! 🌧️😩

But fingers crossed for a much better week ahead as we're back in our three usual spots:

With a couple of super windy markets over the last few days, I decided not to risk bringing the mugs out and potentially ending up with more smash than sunshine! 😅 So instead, I've spent a couple of days at home catching up on all those jobs that tend to get pushed aside during a busy run of markets.

Between packing and sending orders, sorting stock, and giving everything a bit of a tidy-up in their boxes, I finally found some time to give this beautiful unit a well-deserved refresh.

Some of you may remember this beauty from the shop days! It's been patiently waiting for a new lease of life, and today was the perfect opportunity. (I’ve included the very first photo of this unit too before the shop days so can really see the change )

Of course, it's had the full Frenchic treatment! 🎨

I'm absolutely in love with how it's turned out. The colours work so beautifully together and fit perfectly into our newly painted dining room, which is also sporting a fresh coat of Frenchic Rosy Dusk.

The room isn't quite finished yet, but I'll share some full photos once everything is complete. There's still a few finishing touches to add, but it's all starting to come together nicely.

For now, please give a warm welcome to our new drinks cabinet! 🍷🥂 Perfect for when we have friends and family over, and ideal for those evenings gathered around the dining table enjoying good food, good company, and perhaps a cheeky glass of something nice.

It's lovely to finally have a little time to work on the house between all the markets and orders!

A slightly different set-up for us today thanks to the ever-unpredictable British weather! 🌦️

The dreaded R word (rain! ☔️) is forecast for much of the day, although you'd never know it right now with the sunshine making an appearance. As always, we're adapting and making the best of whatever the weather decides to throw at us!

You'll find us today at Glastonbury Charter Market in St Dunstan's Car Park, with all our usual personalised gifts, slates, mugs, coasters and plenty of colourful creations to browse.

We're also lucky enough to be set up next to the fabulous Dahliawaxcandles today. The gorgeous scents coming from their stall keep drifting over and honestly, it's taking some serious willpower not to buy one of everything! 🕯️✨

🌦️ Weston Independent Market Update - Wednesday 3rd June

While the weather forecast isn't looking its best this Wednesday, with rain expected and gusts of up to 36mph, we're delighted to be able to continue trading with a reduced market.

One thing we're really proud of is our consistency. Rather than cancelling at the first sign of challenging weather, we're adapting and doing everything we can to keep supporting our traders and bringing activity into the town centre.

Joining us this Wednesday so far will be:

Wow... what a month May has been! ☀️🥵❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who has stopped by our stall, said hello, had a browse, placed an order, or supported any of the markets we've attended over the last few weeks. Your support genuinely means the world to our little business. And all the businesses attending!

This past week alone has been a scorcher! We absolutely loved seeing so many people out enjoying the sunshine and supporting local traders, but we won't lie... there were definitely moments where we thought we might completely melt into a puddle behind the stall! 😅 With very little shade at some markets, it was certainly a challenge, but seeing familiar faces, meeting new customers, and receiving all of your lovely comments made it completely worthwhile.

Looking back over May, it's been a pretty mental month:

✅ 14 markets completed
✅ 2 pairs of shorts dramatically ripped mid-market 😂
✅ Countless gallons of water consumed
✅ More sun cream than we care to admit
✅ Lots and lots of doggy cuddles 🐶❤️
✅ Plenty of laughs with fellow traders
✅ And so many wonderful customers who continue to support us

Running a small business can be exhausting at times, especially during busy market seasons, but months like this remind us exactly why we do it. We feel incredibly lucky to spend our days creating personalised gifts, meeting lovely people, hearing your stories, and being part of such fantastic local markets.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making May such a brilliant month. We couldn't do any of this without you.

Now... let's see what June has in store! ☀️✨

Next to the wonderful Surf n Turf Kitchen with their award winning Scotch eggs! And the great Fat Head Brewery !

All set up at Weston Independent Market for another gorgeous day at the market! ☀️🌊

Day 3 of this crazy hot weather and I’m not going to lie… it’s been a bit of a scorcher 😅 But today we’ve finally got a lovely little breeze coming through which is making things SO much more manageable without completely melting behind the stall 😂

The Italian Gardens are looking beautiful in the sunshine and there’s such a lovely atmosphere already, the fountains are flowing, kids and adults alike running though them, and lots of brilliant traders set up and plenty of people about enjoying the weather.
