I'm a Cambridge based residential interior designer who uses a collaborative approach to create beautiful spaces combining style & function, whilst remaining personal to you. Do you love nice things and crave a beautifully designed home, but for one reason or another you just can’t get it how you want it? You might have tried in the past, made expensive mistakes and are now feeling totally overwhe

lmed! If this sounds like you then I can certainly help you and I’m so glad you found me! I provide everyone a free 30min discovery call, then offer several different packages based on the level of help you require. You deserve to have the home you aspire to and I can make this happen for you. My name is Emma and I’m a qualified interior designer who loves nothing more than to create beautiful spaces for other people. I know how much your home can affect your well-being and state of mind. Having a home that, not only looks amazing, but that functions properly, and truly reflects how you want to live, can make the world of difference to your life. My clients tell me that I make designing their interior into a pleasurable task. This isn’t just because I LOVE it but also because I follow a trusted process broken down into manageable stages. Did you know that I could save you money by avoiding impulse purchases and also benefitting from my trade discounts? As a wife and mum of two, who works from home and who also loves to entertain, I completely understand that our homes need to be multi-functional and adaptable to the many different demands made of them in today’s hectic world. With a background in fashion buying and having had my own fashion business, I’ve always loved finding out what makes people tick and helping them feel good about themselves. I’m obsessed with interior design programmes, house magazines and decorating my own home, so being an interior designer is my dream job! My style typically mixes my love for Scandinavian and mid-century design – simple, organic shapes, functionality and contrasting textures with my passion for colour – to achieve a look that is calm, elegant and, most importantly, feels like home.

The most beautiful week in Cornwall with my family. Timed amazingly well with that weather!

I grew up there and every time I return it's just a little more special and it gets harder to leave.

Clean sea air, vibrant colours, coastal art, crab sandwiches on the sea wall, beach games, that dusky pink sunset light, cream teas on the terrace and pastel painted cottages.

In the final stages of my big Cambridge project now. Seven rooms in the design stage now. Here are the sample boards for three of them - the living room, kitchen/diner & downstairs guest room.

Green with blue undertones is a common theme in all three rooms - deep and dramatic forest green in the living room, sage & bottle green in the kitchen and then aqua and mint greens in the bedroom.

The accent colours change the mood too - from deep rich ochre, chocolate and walnut in the cosy living room to brighter blush pinks, sky blue and ivory stone in the kitchen, to oak and rose pinks in the bedroom.

This way the whole house flows but each has a different mood.

Do you have a common thread in your home or is every room different?

THIS is the best part! Taking the finished After shots of a room transformation and seeing how happy my clients are with their new hallway, really brings me so much joy 💚

Swipe for the Before photos. Now they have an entrance to be proud of, which sets the tone for the rest of their colourful home. Living room transformation in previous post.

Whoop whoop - we finally have new understairs cupboards!!!🎉🙏👏

Built by my husband to replace the hideous 'cupboards of doom" that were there before. Now we have drawers that pull out completely so there's no excuse to lose anything in the gloom. And they look rather lovely too in the same green as our stairs and with handles. And even the kids put stuff away now!

Swipe for the before photo.

PS Course they don't 😞 - the cupboards are good - but not that good!

A couple of affordable accessory additions to my snug that I'm loving each time I look at them!

Firstly this gorgeous JL woven cushion - at total steel at £32 in their promotion. Loving the check prints right now! Feeding my cushion addiction. But it had actually been a whole year since I'd bought a cushion 😅

And this punchy Desenio print to replace the old one that was damaged. Bringing in some more of those warm pinks & ochres that team so well with my green kitchen.

Working today on different room schemes for a whole house and loving how all the samples work together.

Each room has its own identity but they all flow well and feel part of the same house as they are tonally similar - lots of gorgeous slate blues, punchy teal, aqua, soft sage and the warmth of dusky pinks & a little rust. Introducing more texture with seagrass wall coverings, walnut wood & deep chocolate bronze metal. Yummy!
