Tonights mooring Radford Semele. It was a touch windy today and Fosse wharf locks were a bit of a challenge.
Ready for our run through Leamington tomorrow.

226 years apart. The accomodation bridge number 31 across the canal just below welsh road lock,erected in 1799/1800 is now framed by the new HS2 viaduct constructed in 2026.
No doubt the villagers were up in arms 226 years ago when the canal company was formed and a swathe of devastation was to be cut through their landscape for the new modern super highway which was the canal.
We are exactly the same today with our attitude to HS2.
We, as a generation distanced from the canal build by time look at the canal as an asset.
Will future generations do the same with HS2?
Time has a way of turning things into the "new normal" and forgetting the protests and inconvenience that came before.

Welsh road lock was where the Hadar adventure began. We were moored in this exact spot with Ruby Louise when we first saw Hadar with Jo Lodge and Keith on their way to North Kilworth to put her on brokerage. I assisted at welsh road then watched her disappear into the distance.
So here we are 15 months later back in the same spot with NB Hadar, on our way back to Saltisford for a visit to her old mooring.

The lesson here is if you dream big, do not let opportunity pass you by, even if it seems an impossible task..

Evening folks..
We need to reach out for a smokebox for the range in our back cabin.
The picture is not ours, but its this pattern.
We think the range is a midland chandlers copy of an epping.
We have hunted but cannot source one. So is there anyone out there who has one or knows of a supplier..
