That ruddy song is still going around my head, and these are supposed to be hares not rabbits! 😆
This is my completed 21 inch diameter, 3 Hares Wallhanger, with a mirror background.

This piece brings back so many memories of my father for me.
The memory of him explaining the 3 hares symbol. The memory of him telling me how as a child he would catch rabbits and hares for food during the 2nd world war. And of course, the memory of him singing that bloody earworm of a song! 😁

Wow, I've even managed to impress myself. The 3 hares are a PERFECT fit inside the frame.
Now I just need a mirror to fit into the recess and it will be done.

Inlay completed, now for a bit of polishing.
Who else looks at this and starts singing, "run rabbit, run rabbit, run rabbit, run, run, run, don't give the farmer his fun, fun, fun". 😆

Sometimes when working on the lathe it helps if you're ambidextrous.
I just wish I was ambidextrous, then cutting a back rebate wouldn't be so difficult! ➡️🙃⬅️

If you're wondering what's happened to the extra large 3 Hares wallhanger, I'm still thinking about it 🙂.
In the meantime I had a little commission job to complete. 4 wheel rims, turned from oak.

So this is the type of job I really like doing.
90% of the time sitting on my backside thinking about it (let's call it designing), and 10% actually working 😁
Everything is handmade by cutting, turning, staining and steam bending.
Approximately 23" high x 14" wide x 2" deep.
