I'm still here and I'm still working on a few things, but these are gifts and commissions, and I can't share them with you ☹️
So instead, let me know what you're up to. Are you planning anything, working on anything, or just busy with the daily grind?

A nice piece of local timber turned into a shallow bowl. However, I don't make plain bowls very often, so it's time to start decorating 🙂

Who wants to buy Andy Burnham a gift?

As he's going to be reducing my future pension payments, I'm going to need some extra cash. ☹️

A special trip out to The Great Feast at Euston Park this morning to meet Andrea & Patrick from Lovely Bees and Tings.
A few crafters, lots of delicious food from around the world, all mixed with the most disorganised carparking I've ever seen.
If you look closely at this photo, amongst all of the items designed and made by Andrea & Patrick using an L*D inspired colour palette, you might see something made by me.
My thanks to both of you for offering to display some of my woodturning art on your stall. 🤗

My thanks to everyone who commented on my last post. I've taken your advice and left the balloon girl as a shelf piece.
It's 17" wide x 16" high.
For those of you that would like to see a bit more woodturning, I've also just finished an 11" diameter beaded bowl.

I need your help. My latest balloon girl has me flummoxed.
I can't decide if I should leave this as a free standing shelf piece, or add a frame and turn it into a wallhanger.
What are your thoughts? 🙏

I'm thinking that I might need a few different coloured balloons, so here are a few more to add to my stores 🎈🎈
I'm actually waiting for a part to be delivered for my next balloon girl idea. Hopefully it will arrive this week.
In the meantime I have time to play 🙂

I'm going to need about seven balloons, so it looks like I have choices 🙂

All quiet on the turning front.
I took some time away to visit the Chatsworth County Show, and spent some time in the Peak District.
I'm home now and I have an idea, I just need a few balloons 🎈🎈

That ruddy song is still going around my head, and these are supposed to be hares not rabbits! 😆
This is my completed 21 inch diameter, 3 Hares Wallhanger, with a mirror background.

This piece brings back so many memories of my father for me.
The memory of him explaining the 3 hares symbol. The memory of him telling me how as a child he would catch rabbits and hares for food during the 2nd world war. And of course, the memory of him singing that bloody earworm of a song! 😁
