This is the most recently bowl that I have turned on the lathe. Padauk wood is always a joy to turn, consistent clean cuts every time. The deep red colour is very unique, not many other woods that can show off a colour like this.

Cornish Oak Memorial Bench For Toby Carr-Neal

Toby was a great friend of mine, and when he passed away, I wanted to make something for his friends & family to honour Toby! And making a memorial bench seemed to be the most suited. I was hoping to place Toby’s bench somewhere for everyone to use, but unfortunately it was near enough impossible to find anywhere to get it placed. We have come to make the decision that Toby’s Bench will now be with his sister Tammy, for the family to cherish. It may of took a while but I am so happy it is with his family in its forever home!

American Walnut & Sycamore chopping/ serving board ✨

I have had this piece of American Walnut in my wardrobe for some time now so I thought I better make use of it! Yes that’s right, the wardrobe! No better way to show off the beautiful & luxurious colour of the Walnut than to turn it into a chopping and serving board, always on show! This piece of Walnut has a purple tinge in certain lights as you can see in some of the photos. I have inlayed Sycamore wood for a contemporary mordern feel.

This board is finished with multiple coats of Tung oil, giving it a high quality and long lasting protection, and a subtle Matt finish.
