💚 This one went straight to my heart... 💚

Knowing this beautifully refinished Lebus chest of drawers is now standing in a little girl's bedroom - ready to hold her treasures, her first school shoes, her favourite teddies, honestly means everything to me.

This piece started life as a solid, well-loved vintage Lebus chest, and now wears a soft bayberryŵ green with hand-applied vintage floral botanicals and gold scarab hardware - made to be a special piece she can grow up with, not just furniture that gets replaced. 🦋

Another one packed up and heading to London! 🚚💕

This gorgeous Stag Minstrel chest has been completely transformed - painted in Fusion Mineral Paint "Rosewater", taking her from a dated brown piece into something truly elegant

The real showstopper?

That beautiful gold "Bird Song" transfer by Redesign with Prima 🐦🌸 - carefully placed and framed within a hand-painted gold pinstripe borders on every single drawer front. The detail on those birds and florals is honestly one of my favourites to date 😍

Hate to break it to you… 😅
…but “vintage” paint isn’t always vintage furniture.

Some pieces are really just:
✨ distressed on a brand-new item
✨ given a quick coat of “old” vibes
✨ sold as “hand-painted vintage”… when it’s not

So how do you spot the difference?
Look for details that feel real, like:
🪑 character in the edges and corners
🎨 layers of colour (not one-and-done!)
🔍 wear that looks natural - not random

Hate to break it to you… 😉
If it looks perfect up close, it might not have that vintage soul.
