Plastering is one of the oldest trades in the building game, dating back thousands of years to when ancient craftsmen were coating walls with lime and clay. What’s remarkable is that, despite all the modern materials and methods that have come along, the fundamentals haven’t changed. The tools of the trade the hawk, the trowel, the float are virtually the same as they’ve always been. A plasterer today would still recognise the kit used centuries ago, because at the end of the day, it’s still all about skill, technique, and a steady hand….
