Autumn | Connection

There is little else I love more than sharing flowers. I'm yet to encounter someone whose eyes don't light up when handed a bunch of British grown beauties.

This posie created at the end of a day with Sarah Statham, for a friend I was going on to stay with that night.

A reminder of what got me into this flowery stuff in the first place, of the jam jar posies i have shared over the years from the garden with my people. The joy in connecting to nature, the season and one another.

Winter | Christmas Wreath Workshops 2026

Guided step by step in a calm and creative setting, this workshop is more than craft-making, it's a seasonal ritual.

Take time, solo or with friends, to enjoy the textures, scents, and quiet rhythm of working with your hands, and leave with a beautiful homemade wreath for your home.

All materials are provided, with an emphasis on sustainable practice: natural, locally & ethically sourced materials which can all be reused, recycled, or composted.

WORKSHOPS:

• 05/12 6pm, Creek Creative Studios Faversham
• 06/12 11am, Horsebridge Arts Centre Whitstable
• 12/12 2.30pm, Beach Creative CIC Herne Bay

Venues are purposefully chosen for their creative and community feel, with plenty of space for everyone.

Autumn | Let flowers pick the date

Among the last bloom-filled arrangements of the year. October flowers... possibly my favourites. The final full flush before winter's scarcity takes hold. If I were planning a wedding, an event, my flower-filled dreams, I think early October would be the one.

While you may wait to choose your florist until after you've confirmed your date, what all flower-fiends must do is let the flowers pick the date in the first place! Love dahlias? Autumn. Love tulips? Spring. Love roses? Summer. Peonies... You might want to employ an Etsy witch to tell you when those divas might arrive.

Summer | Dahlia season

A wedding bouquet from August. The first of the dahlias, which now are in full swing. The last of the sweet peas which have now finished, tendrils doing so much work for this full-of-movement design. The orange and purple combo really made my heart sing.

Autumn | Strawberry Hill Flower Festival 2026

In just under two weeks, I'll be joining a brilliant group of floral designers as we adorn with British flowers & celebrate our craft of sustainable floristry.

Equal parts nervous & excited... walking around the festival last year, as you can imagine from this footage, I was totally inspired. I had no clue I would have the opportunity to take part the following year & am so grateful for it. You'll find my design in the jewel of the house: the Long Gallery.

Summer | The summer of 2026

The summer has been long & this morning I found myself longing for the comfort of jumpers, a change in season, a reprieve from the relentless heat.

A look back now to peony season at the very beginning of summer, which feels a long time ago. When the grass was still green and rain wasn't a distant memory. In fact, the peonies were in need of their spotlight moment before the storm came the next day.

Season-led floristry at its finest: guided entirely by nature's rhythm. Despite the overwhelming truth of this rhythm being disturbed and threatened, I have hope it can and will return.

Summer | High impact

More often than not, the designs that make my jaw drop are those that look as though they've been cut and dropped into a vase in a matter of seconds, or even better: as though they grew in place. The highs and lows of the field, the perfect imperfections of nature, the movement in the breeze.
