Legendary German actor Udo Kier has passed away. Known for his eccentric, unforgettable roles across film, he became iconic to gamers worldwide as Yuri in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Yuri’s Revenge.
He was also set to appear in Hideo Kojima’s upcoming horror game OD.

Hideo Kojima wrote:
“I still can’t believe this. Udo wasn’t just an actor. He was truly an icon of his time. We’ve lost a great icon. There will never be another like him.”

🕊️ Rest in peace, Udo. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
