O N E W E E K T O G O

It's just one week to go until the ๐ฎ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ก.๐œ๐จ๐ฆ home awards are hosted in London! Our garden bar, which we named The Well Inn (after we found a Victorian well when doing the extension in the garden!) is up for an award for Best Entertaining Space and I still can't quite believe it โœจ๏ธ

It's been quite a year after having major hip surgery and now, recently losing the ability to use my right hand (for reasons still unknown ๐Ÿ˜•) so when I tell you, I am looking forward to this so much, you best believe me!

I can't wait to meet some of the other finalists across all of the categories, it's going to be an amazing event and I'll be sure to take you all with me ๐Ÿฉท

Ok so I'm a bit of a fairweather camper BUT rain happens right?! This may be controversial but Iโ€™ve discovered a little camping hack.

Awning absolutely soaked and you need to pack it away? Donโ€™t panicโ€ฆ and definitely donโ€™t start folding it up like a soggy towel. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Get the wet vac out and suck that water up! Who knew a window vac could come in so handy!

If you have lavender in your garden (especially if you planted it this year) then take this as your reminder to cut your lavender right back this month if you want beautiful, bushy plants again next year! ๐Ÿ’œ

Don't go all the way down to the wood, just cut down to a few inches above the start of the green part of the stems - don't overthink it! The important thing is to prune them to avoid them becoming too woody in future years!

Bonus tip- don't throw away your old lavender stems, put them to one side to dry them out and check out my next post for what to do with them around your home ๐Ÿ˜Š
