Rarely available polychrome resin statue of the comic character Tintin in the Congo, with his dog Snowy (Milou).by Belgian creator Hergé (1907-1983)
Made by Leblon Delienne in 1988.
The statue is 32 cm tall on a base in matte black lacquered wood with a length of 30 cm. It’s fabulous! Open all day for your Hergé adventures! Music today pays tribute to David fair one half of diy music creators Half Japanese. In 1974 Jad Fair, along with his brother David Fair co-founded the alternative lo-fi rock group Half Japanese. Despite being lifelong music obsessives, their approach to the craft of writing and the art of performing was utterly unique. Heavily inspired by Jackson Po***ck, Half Japanese were always more of an art project than a musical journey. More important than technical ability, was enthusiasm and a thirst for creation. They eschewed traditional ways of playing to explore different tunings, allowing them to coax new sounds from their instruments.

Some chairs in various styles & periods! I was open all day, but you didn’t come! Never mind, lots of new stock available, pop and see me next Friday! After their sublime gig at the Earl Haig Club, music was by Mr is Mark Roberts’ musical project.
Having cut his teeth singing and playing guitar for Llanrwst’s Y Cyrff in the late 1980’s/Early 90’s.
He then went on to form Catatonia who had success in the UK charts for a period in the late Nineties.
The century turned and he continued to musicmake with Sherbet antlers, Y Ffyrc and The Earth. Mr seems the perfect creative vehicle for Mark and the band, he’s also a half tidy footballer and I had the pleasure to stand along side him in the rise and fall of Cafe Calcio! Them were the days! Enjoy & remember heaven is a junk yard!

Open all day with my besties Music today from Fusing the Beach Boys with Iwan Llwyd, Cyn Cwsg fully announced themselves with the release of their debut EP ‘Prydu Yn Yr Haul’, recorded with Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard’s Tom Rees. With probably some of the lushest guitar sounds that evoke 2010s indie nostalgia, Cyn Cwsg are pretty laid back& chilled out to the core and properly fantastic. Bruce Bairnsfather (British, 1887-1959) was a prominent British humorist and cartoonist. His best-known cartoon character is Old Bill from the ‘”Fragments from France” comic strip from ‘Bystander’ magazine. A London company called Smith & Sons of Portland street released a series of these WW1-era automobile mascots in the early 20th century, particularly in 1919. Standing at only 3” tall, old bill packs a punch! Serial number & stamp on under side of casting! I’ve included a picture of Bruce, who was a very interesting character, wear consummate for both! Open all day! Music today A quartet from London, Pynch have always been a band to do things their own way. Having previously released a single via Speedy Wunderground, the band formed their own label, Chillburn Recordings, went on a European tour in a Skoda and turned home recordings into international acclaim. For their debut album, Howling at a Concrete Moon, they brought in Stereolab’s Andy Ramsay to co-produce and spent ten days in Bermondsey with the tongue-in-cheek mantra of “any old s**t will do”, I know what you mean! A nicely British engineered industrial work bench! This has a nice lever mechanism that lowers/highers on its wheels, enabling easy movement of the bench! Reclaimed from an automotive garage that has been in operation since 1947. Open all day for your industrial enthusiasm! Music today by Born in Birmingham, England, and raised outside the city after her family opened a B&B when she was five, Lawrence sang in church and was fed a steady diet of music, especially reggae, by her parents. She went on to play in various punk and ska bands in her youth. Later, while studying at the experimental art school Dartington in Devon, she was discovered on YouTube by a manager, eventually leading to her dropping out of school, moving to London, and signing with EMI,it didn’t end well! Check the new album Vespers, so much feeling in a very personal album! Enjoy & remember, heaven is a junk yard!
