Most people think interior designers spend their days choosing cushions and styling beautiful spaces.
The reality is very different.
Long before furniture, artwork or finishing touches are considered, we’re working through the decisions that shape how a home will function and feel. We’re refining layouts, planning lighting, designing joinery, selecting materials, resolving storage requirements and coordinating countless details that need to come together seamlessly.
There are technical drawings to review, specifications to prepare, site questions to answer and builders to coordinate. Every decision affects another, and every project involves hundreds of moving parts that need careful planning and oversight.
Much of the work happens behind the scenes, long before the finished spaces are photographed. It’s hours of problem solving, revising plans, managing budgets and navigating challenges before they become costly mistakes.
When a project feels effortless in the end, it’s usually because months of planning, coordination and decision-making have happened long before anyone notices the cushions.
