Every shawl starts the same way:

🐈 The cat thinks she’s helping.

🧵 I promise myself, “This one won’t take long.”

Somehow, hundreds of rows later, these two shawls became gifts for people I love.

That’s the magic of handmade gifts.

You don’t just wrap up a shawl.

You wrap up all those quiet evenings, cups of tea, cat interruptions, and thousands of stitches that went into making it.

Before I learned to spin yarn…

Before I discovered fleece…

Before weaving became part of my life…

There was simply a crochet hook and the excitement of making something with my own hands.

These pieces remind me that every journey begins with a single stitch.

Tamed Ewe has been created since then, but these first pieces will always remind me why I fell in love with making.
