Enjoying the last few days of 2021 + looking forward to all the exciting things we’ll be getting up to next year 💫

A lot has changed for our business over the last couple of years + we’ve done our best to adapt to all the changes that have been thrown our way. I’m sure there are still lots of changes to come as life seems to love a curve ball + Covid hasn’t fu**ed off yet 🙈 but as always we’ll be here doing our thing. So I know there will be lots of you sending flowers + gifts to loved ones all over the country this Christmas + I wanted to talk about a couple of ways you can support your local florist this festive season.

🎄 Florists all over the country will be working their butts off to create gorgeous designs for you to choose from this Christmas, and while it may be cheaper to buy a bunch of flowers or wreath from the supermarket, you won’t be getting the same quality product or making a difference to someone’s business + family.

🎄 If you’re wanting to send flowers or gifts to friends + family who live far away, instead of using a relay service like Interflora (or the many others) look up the local florist to them + put your order in directly. I promise you they’ll be forever grateful! (It’s super easy, just pop their post code into google + search ‘Florist’)

🎄Not only will ordering directly from a florist make their day, you’ll also get way more value for money as there’s no fees to be deducted by the relay service. Relay fees can range from 20%-50% which is a HUGE chunk off the value you’ve paid for!

🎄 Avoid horrible surprises + make sure the flowers you’ve ordered are the flowers your loved ones are receiving! It’s a common occurrence for relays to get complaints because the sender/recipient aren’t happy with their delivery as it’s not exactly what they’re expecting. It’s as simple as, you’re not getting what you paid for because up to half your money is going to the relay which means less flower value for the florist.

I hope this helps your shopping experience this season + we can all do our bit to support small independent businesses this Christmas.
