🔧 Progress Update

Our engineers have been on site for our client completing the first phase of a container fit-out for the vehicle wash industry.

Containment, framework and power distribution infrastructure are now installed and ready for the next stage of the project.

A tidy installation today makes for a smoother commissioning process tomorrow.

⚡ EV Charging Installation Completed ⚡

We have recently completed the installation of a new EV charging infrastructure project.

The works included:

🔹 3 x Single Phase EV Chargers
🔹 1 x Three Phase EV Charger
🔹 Load Monitoring System Installation
🔹 New Distribution Equipment
🔹 Containment & Cabling Infrastructure
🔹 Surge Protection
🔹 Protective Barriers & Vehicle Impact Protection
🔹 Testing & Commissioning

As with all of our projects, attention to detail and Saftey were key considerations throughout the installation.

From the containment and power distribution through to commissioning and load management, our engineers delivered a complete turnkey solution for the client.

A great job by the team and another successful project completed.

A proud moment for Ben Wood Group.

After a huge amount of hard work, training, inspections and commitment from our team it’s great to finally have our NICEIC Hazardous Areas accreditation displayed across our fleet.

Hazardous Areas and ATEX environments continue to be a growing part of our business supporting clients across the manufacturing, logistics, cold storage and industrial sectors throughout the UK.

This accreditation is not just a logo on a van it represents the competence, knowledge and standards required to work safely within potentially explosive atmospheres.

A snapshot from today at the HQ

While many only see the finished installation, there’s a huge amount of planning, preparation and logistics that takes place behind the scenes to keep projects moving nationwide.

Good job we don’t have all of the vans back at the same time, otherwise we’d be looking for a bigger yard! 😅

As we head into June, we have a number of major projects already underway and several more due to commence over the coming weeks.

We have multiple ATEX installations starting very soon. Our division going from strength to strength.

2026 growth plans well underway 🚐⚡

Three new vans delivered today for the expanding Ben Wood Group team.

These will now undergo full BWG branding and fit out before heading out onto projects nationwide.

• 2 x for new starters joining the business
• 1 x upgraded van for an existing engineer

🚆 New Project Commenced For RMTS

We have commenced works on a new Train Wheel Lathe project for RMTS

Our engineers are carrying out the containment installation and all control wiring associated with the new machinery installation.

As part of the installation, bespoke bends and sets are being manufactured on site to suit the containment routes and machine layout requirements.

Another great industrial project to be involved in within the rail sector and we look forward to sharing progress as works continue.

⚡️ Contract Secured ⚡️

We have secured a multi-site package of remedial works within ATEX hazardous areas and ammonia plant rooms for a major cold storage company.

These environments require specialist knowledge, strict compliance and experienced engineers, we are proud to continue supporting the cold chain industry across the UK.

The project will involve electrical remedial works, hazardous area compliance improvements and supporting operational reliability across multiple live facilities.

A great achievement for our growing ATEX division and another step forward in strengthening long term partnerships within the cold storage sector.

Recently completed EV charging infrastructure upgrade for a valuable client

Scope of works included:

- Installation of 5 x Easee EV chargers
- Installation of Matt load management systems
- New distribution equipment and infrastructure upgrades
- Steel containment and cable management
- Vehicle protection barriers and bay protection
- Testing, commissioning and certification
