Whisper Handmade Crochet My name is Sharon. I live in Chesterfield with my husband and adult children, and the cat of course, making gorgeous items from yarn and hooks.

I have been making crochet items for about ten years and love everything about it. Yarn shopping and searching for new designs are so addictive. I rarely make the same item more than once so you can be sure your item is unique. I love a challenge and will have a go at almost anything crochet, except stuffed toys. Cushions, blankets, hats and scarves and, of course, baby cardigans and blankets. Back to crochet now

This was started before our holidays and I had run out of black yarn at that point.

Back home and I've bought some more yarn as I didn't have enough. Hopefully with 2 more balls it should be finished by the end of the week ❤️

I've been told that the black one has a lovely elegant look to it whereas the colourful rainbow one is very vibrant. I bought more yarn for that one too as I didnt have a dark yellow yarn.

Can you see a bit of a theme here 🤣?

And the pattern that came with the yarn was easy to follow although I did make a few mistakes but it's all good practice tinking 🤣

Haven't the mornings turned colder? Seems like we've gone from summer heatwave to crisp Autumn in the blink of an eye.

These fingerless gloves are perfect for popping in your pockets ready for that morning dog walk or autumn walk on the woods. Small enough to fit in a pocket, still use devices when wearing them and they keep your hands nice and warm. And my personal favourites are the dragon scale ones because - dragons iykyk 🥰

Well ......

Bought this skein of gorgeous cashmere merino blend yarn from Yarndale which came with a knitting pattern

So .....

I wound the yarn (no-one to hold it so an Ikea footstool works very well - other furniture is available 🤣) and now I'm ready to knit.

I am so loving all this colour and ideas are starting to pop with more multicoloured accessories.

And chunky beanies are just fabulous for keeping warm.

The cat ear beanie is always one of my staples at this time of year and I usually stick to traditional hat colours - black, grey, cream and white

This year I decided to go a bit rogue - we have a multicoloured beanie - purple, red, green, blue, pink and orange. And its chunky too - warm and funky and I love it 🥰

Which do you prefer?

The white one is more difficult to make - smaller hook and very stiff cotton yarn. This one is a bunny and is being done as a favour for one of my fabulous ladies ❤️
